Colton Madrigal

Training dogs started as a hobby, grew into a passion, and became something more. I’ve always loved the process of building a working relationship with a dog: teaching a new skill, making it dependable, and seeing what that changes for the person on the other end of the leash.

I trained in explosive detection at American K9 Interdiction (AK9i). After graduating, I was hired as a trainer, where I helped imprint new dogs on target odors and worked on obedience. That experience shaped how I approach training today: patient foundations, clear communication, and consistent practice.

Through Madrigal K9 Training, I work with pet dogs on obedience, behavior, board and train, and off-leash goals. I’m a balanced trainer, and I tailor the plan to the dog and owner rather than forcing every team into the same program.

My goal is to help your dog learn and to give you the understanding and confidence to keep the progress going.
